Festival of Arts is organised by Lyceum Assessments. We conduct exams in speech & drama and public speaking. Our exams assess and promote the skills needed for effective communication in real life. They are available to candidates between the ages of 5 and 19 in Sri Lanka.
Our main objective is to serve as a platform for children to showcase their many talents as well as be recognized for their skills and be awarded for them. We believe that it is our responsibility to create opportunities for them to have fun and also learn in the process!
Speech & Drama is a great way of introducing and sustaining social skills in any early years setting. These exams are specially crafted to provide the children a platform to explore diverse dimensions, culture, history, tradition, rhythm, literature, nature, and moral values through music, movement, poetry, voice, dance, and drama. It is a celebration of our young performers who will light up the stages around Sri Lanka, redefining drama, prose, poetry, musical theatre, mime, storytelling, and stand-up poetry.
Public Speaking examinations focus on empowering students with practical and highly sought-after soft skills in the corporate market. They encourage students to develop their public speaking skills both in a prepared and impromptu context, which enables children to develop their adaptability and creativity. The inclusion of presentations coaches students on how to prepare and deliver a successful PowerPoint presentation, a very relevant and crucial skill in any corporate setting.
These examinations are adjudicated by an accomplished panel of experts and industry leaders. Candidates are evaluated for their performance and are awarded medals and certificates for their achieved score band. They are also given an evaluation report with constructive criticism by the adjudicators, where candidates can focus on improving and developing their skills. Content of the exam solely depends on the candidate or the teacher’s preference, thereby enhancing creativity and literary development.
