Will participants receive feedback?
Yes, all participants will receive an evaluation report, certificate and a medal along with constructive feedback from the adjudicators.
How will participants be judged?
Performances will be evaluated based on criteria such as expression, technique, creativity, and stage presence by qualified industry adjudicators.
Will there be rehearsals for the candidate?
We only conduct the examination. Participants are expected to be fully prepared before arrival. They may be rehearsed by their speech & drama teacher.
Are group performances allowed?
Yes, group performances are allowed in selected categories such as duets or Group drama. Candidates are usually selected for a group category by the speech & drama teacher.
What happens if I exceed the time limit?
Exceeding the allocated time may result in a deduction of marks as per the judging criteria.
Can parents attend the Festival of Arts?
Absolutely! We welcome parents and guardians to witness students’ performances.
How long should a performance last?
Each grade and category has specific time limits (e.g., Grade 3 is allocated 2 minutes for a poem). Exceeding these may result in a point deduction.
Is there a dress code for the performances?
Participants are allowed to wear a suitable costume for their performance.
Do I need to provide my own backing tracks or props?
Yes, participants must provide their own music (on a USB drive) and any specific props required for their performance.
Can I enter more than one category?
Yes, students are encouraged to showcase multiple talents.
Spelling Bee Examination
Is this a written competition or is it done orally?
The Preliminary Rounds consists of both a written and an oral component. The Final Championship is conducted entirely as an oral competition.
How will the examination procedures be communicated to the parent?
All successfully registered candidates will initially receive an email with relevant information, which also contains Telegram and WhatsApp group links. Examination procedure, schedules, materials to bring, will be circulated on aforementioned groups.
Will participants receive study materials?
Yes, registered participants are provided with word lists and guidelines to support their preparation.
What happens if a word is spelled incorrectly in the Final Championship ?
If a word is spelled incorrectly, the participant will be eliminated from that round.
How are the winners recognized?
Winners receive certificates of excellence, medals, trophies and cash prizes.
Can I change the spelling of a word once I’ve started?
Once you have started spelling, you can stop and start over.
What if I don’t hear the word clearly?
In the preliminary rounds you may ask the pronouncer to repeat the word. In the Final Championship, you may ask the pronouncer to repeat the word, provide a definition, or use it in a sentence.
Are the words only from British English?
Both British and American English spellings are accepted, and candidates will not be penalized for either. Word meanings may be referred from any standard dictionary.
Are there different rounds in the competition?
Yes, the competition typically includes preliminary rounds, which runs in an examination format, followed by final championship rounds.
Who can participate in the Spelling Bee ?
Participation is divided into grade categories, starting from grade 2 – 9.
IELTS and PTE (English Proficiency Tests)
Do these tests use British or American English ?
Both tests accept a variety of English accents and usage, not limited to British or American, as long as it is consistent and understandable.
What should I bring on test day ?
A valid passport is required. Please note that your passport is also necessary for the registration process.
Is there a difference in Writing tasks ?
Yes, IELTS includes essays and reports/letters, while PTE includes summarizing text and essay writing.
How do I send my scores to universities ?
PTE scores can be sent for free via your Pearson account, IELTS allows sending to selected institutions during registration.
What is a good score for migration ?
A common benchmark is IELTS 6.0 or PTE 50, but many visas and universities require higher scores.
What are the types of PTE and IELTS tests ?
PTE Academic (study/migration) and PTE Core (Canada immigration), IELTS Academic (higher education) and IELTS General Training (work/migration).

Pearson Edexcel Examinations
How can I verify my results for a university application?
Yes can verify your Pearson Edexcel results for a university application by requesting a Certified Statement of Results or a results verification from Pearson.
Do I need to bring my own stationery to the exam?
Yes, students must bring black pens or black ballpoint pens, pencils, erasers, and authorized calculators (without lids or cases). All items must be kept in a clear, colorless, transparent pencil case.
Is there a limit to how many times I can resit a unit?
There is usually no limit on IAL resits, but only the two most recent sittings are typically counted when calculating the final qualification grade after cash-in.
What is the difference between AS and A2?
The International A Level (IAL) has two stages: IAS (International Advanced Subsidiary) and A2 (International Advanced Level). When you complete both stages, you receive the overall Advanced Level grade.
Can I request a re-mark if I am unhappy with my results?
You can request Post-Result Services, such as clerical checks and reviews of marking, during the service availability window by paying the applicable fees.
Are the 9–1 grading scales for International GCSE exams accepted by universities?
Yes, universities worldwide, including those in the UK, USA, and Australia, recognize the 9–1 grading scale as equivalent to the traditional A*–G system.
What happens if I miss an exam due to illness ?
You must provide a valid medical certificate immediately. In some cases, “Special Consideration” may be applied if a significant portion of the assessment was completed.

A UCI is a 13-character code used to track your results across different exam sessions. You must use the same UCI for all your Edexcel exams.
