Nextgen Shield (Private) Limited, in collaboration with Lyceum Assessments (Private) Limited, conducted a comprehensive training program in December 2022 for the security officers employed at Lyceum Global Holdings. The four-day program took place at the Lyceum International School – Wattala premises and aimed to provide a comprehensive training experience covering various subject areas related to the security officers’ roles.

The training program covered essential aspects such as the role of a security officer, emergency situation handling, fire training, access control, patrolling, conducting protective searches, and personal discipline. Participants were introduced to the fundamental responsibilities of a security officer and the importance of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in their daily operations. They also received training on effectively responding to emergencies, including first aid, evacuation procedures, and communication strategies.
Fire Safety and Access Control
Additionally, the program focused on fire safety training, equipping officers with knowledge of fire prevention techniques, evacuation drills, and proper usage of fire extinguishers. Access control techniques, such as identification verification and visitor management, were covered, along with effective patrolling strategies to deter unauthorized activities.
